The Olympiad has been held in a modern format since 2012. Tasks are formed for students in grades 6-9 and grades 10-11. In this case, students can become participants not only from Moscow schools, but also students from other cities of Russia. The tasks of the first round are completed in absentia, and for the final stage, essay on how jay gatsby is an anti hero the participants come to the organizers’ sites.
The Olympiad consists of distance qualifying and final face-to-face stages. The first of them, in turn, consists of two independent tours. Such a system is adopted for the convenience of the participants: if the number of points required for the transition to the full-time stage is not scored in the first round, then you can try your hand at the second.
However, the points are not cumulative. To participate in the first round, you must register on the site from December to February. Participants are invited to solve 4-7 programming problems. Multiple answer choices may be provided, but only the last one will count. The solutions are checked automatically, if there are identical answers, both participants are disqualified: the tasks are designed in such a way that such a coincidence is impossible if performed independently.
The classroom stage is held in one day at the computer. In 2019, it will be March 31st. Participants will have to solve a practical data problem. At the same time, they have the right to use standard programs or compose a response manually. The check is also fully automatic.
All tasks for each stage of the past years are published on the site, they can be used when preparing for the Olympiad on your own.
